Hale was identified as present during Lacasse’s law-enforcement interview and later testified that investigators excluded Lacasse as a suspect after examining cell-phone and bank records and video footage placing him in Tennessee. He also described when Lacasse reported information about a July 31 dinner and identified text messages referring to a dinner involving Wendi Adelson and Charlie Adelson.
