Louis Bronstein, an FBI Miami special agent, testified as a witness about surveillance of an April 20, 2016 meeting between Charlie Adelson and Katherine Magbanua at Dolce Vita. He described positioning himself near them with concealed audio-video equipment, identified the meeting participants, and authenticated recordings admitted into evidence under different exhibit numbers in the successive proceedings. In 2025, he also authenticated surveillance photographs. Bronstein repeatedly explained that restaurant noise or air-conditioning prevented him from hearing much of the conversation directly, although he could identify the participants visually. Cross-examination in the earlier proceedings explored the limits of his observations, his knowledge of the equipment and investigative decisions, and FBI or DOJ documentation practices; in 2025, the defense waived cross-examination.
